How to Use Payoneer in Pakistan

Payoneer offers an incredible payment solution for those who receive money from Payoneer affiliates. Payoneer in Pakistan is a particularly beneficial option since the world's most popular payment option Paypal is not generally available in Pakistan.

However, for those who are using Payoneer for the first time, it can be fairly confusing at first. This article will discuss everything you need to know regarding how to use Payoneer in Pakistan.

WHAT IS PAYONEER?

Avid followers of this blog, if there are any, will already know that Payoneer is a payment solution company that issues Prepaid MasterCard Debit Cards to freelancers and other people receiving income from foreign countries.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF USING PAYONEER?

You can withdraw money from select ATMs across Pakistan, or use the money at POS terminals at petrol pumps, shops, restaurants and other vendors. If you decide to go for Payoneer, you don't have to rely on local banks, which have a habit of charging hidden fees.

HOW DO YOU SIGN UP FOR PAYONEER IN PAKISTAN?

You can either sign up for Payoneer by clicking here (annual charge instead of monthly charge + $25 bonus once you load $100 to your card)
OR
you can sign up directly through your Payoneer partner and pay a monthly fee and receive no bonus.

WHAT ARE THE PAYONEER FEES?

Below is the fee table for the card if you decide to order from this site. If you decide to order it through a specific partner, check out the fees for that specific card when applying for it. Most cards have the same fee structure, except instead of an annual fee of $29.95, they have a monthly fee of $3 (totalling to $36 per year).

HOW TO USE PAYONEER IN PAKISTAN IN 2015?

We have written in great detail about how to use Payoneer in Pakistan before, but since those posts are quite old now, we decided to write a new post about how to use Payoneer in Pakistan in 2015.

Once you apply for the Payoneer card here:

1. ACTIVATE YOUR PAYONEER IN PAKISTAN
  • Tear open the envelope you have received from Payoneer in the mail
  • Unpack the card and take out the activation instructions letter
  • Go to your PC
  • Go to www.payoneer.com
  • Click on Activate your card in the panel on the right
  • Enter your account details to login to your Payoneer online account (these are the same details you chose when you ordered the card). The username is your email address and the password is what you chose it to be..
  • Once you login, you will see a button you can click to activate your card. Click it!
  • Enter the 16 digit card number located on your card, and choose a 4 digit pin number.
  • Celebrate the activation of your card!

2. USE YOUR PAYONEER IN PAKISTAN

  • Your Payoneer card can be used in thousands of locations across Pakistan
  • You can withdraw money from selected ATM machines all over Pakistan.
  • Keep reading for list of Payoneer ATMs in Pakistan
  • View this list of MasterCard ATMs in Pakistan. Make sure you look out for the MasterCard LOGO  on the machine before you insert your card
  • Read on to see Payoneer ATM limit in Pakistan
  • Remember that all transactions in Pakistani ATM machines are done in Pakistani Rupees.
  • Remember: DO NOT CHECK ATM BALANCE FROM THE ATM but to check it online. Most machines in Pakistan do not support checking of balance of MasterCard cards, and your card could get stuck if you try.
  • You can also use your Payoneer MasterCard debit card at any shop, petrol pump or restaurant that accepts MasterCard payments. All big stores etc accept this method of payment.
  • You must enter in the AMOUNT IN RUPEES after converting the dollar amount that is in your card. You can only withdraw in rupees and not in dollars in Pakistan.

WHICH ATMS DOES PAYONEER IN PAKISTAN WORK?

All MasterCard ATMs. Currently, the following banks support MasterCard ATM transactions:
  • Samba Bank - Samba Bank is the best option since the bank itself does not charge any fee
  • Muslim Commercial Bank - MCB charges Rs. 250 fee
  • Standard Chartered Bank - SCB charges Rs. 300 fee
  • Royal Bank of Scotland (Faysal Bank) - Unsure about fee but it is not very reliable
  • Citibank - Citibank only has a few branches and ATMs left in Pakistan

WHAT IS THE PAYONEER IN PAKISTAN TRANSACTION LIMIT?

The per-transaction limit depends on the machine. Most MCB machines, all Samba and all SCB machines allow users to withdraw Rs. 20,000 per transaction.

There is no limit on the number of transactions but different Payoneer cards have withdrawal limits so you should check that out when ordering your card.

    1. You can withdraw $30 from a Pakistan ATM.

I would recommend that you use Samba Bank and withdraw Rs. 2500.

The fees depends on your card, but most cards have a fee of $3.15 and a 3% fee on exchange rate (if the market exchange rate is 101, you can expect an exchange rate of 98).

      $30-3.15 = $26.85
      $26.85 * 98 = Rs. 2631

If you use MCB, you have to pay an extra fee of Rs. 250 and if you use SCB, you have to pay an extra fee of Rs. 300. If you use these banks, withdraw Rs. 2000.

Since you can only withdraw in multiples of 500s, you can withdraw 2500.

It might be a better idea to use the money at a shop, restaurant or petrol pump since you will not have to pay the ATM withdrawal fee.

All money is cut from your account and not the cash you withdraw. Your account cannot go into negative so make sure not to try withdrawing more money than is in your account after the fee, or your card can get eaten up or you can get charged a failed transaction fee of upto $1.

    1. Hey, you can add funds to your card by loading it through any Payoneer Partner (some examples include Freelancer.com, Elance.com, oDesk.com etc). You can also load some cards from load.payoneer.com using a local debit card or credit card that supports online payment.
You can WITHDRAW your money from your card through a Samba Bank ATM.
    2. Please send me the activation fee method tell me what are the payment methods for paying activation fee and details about activation fee my email address is m.shoaib1201@gmail.com
    3. Hey Shoaib, details of the activation fee depend on where you get your card from. If you get it from this site, there is no activation fee and you'll get a bonus of $25 upon loading $100 to your card (but you have to pay annual fee of $29.95)

    5. AOA brother. Can you specify where you ordered your card from? Some cards do not allow private load unless you have used your card sufficiently through the Payoneer partner through which you ordered it.

Also, are you sure your card is working properly online? That could be another issue.

    1. AOA, you have to add it through Freelancer.com. Go to Freelancer.com and the withdraw page under the Finances tab. There, click on Freelancer MasterCard (or something like that) and add your card by entering your email address. If you have any trouble, let me know and I will help you further.

    1. AOA, kindly make an account on Freelancer.com or oDesk.com, complete your profile and then find projects you can work on. Once you find projects, place detailed bids on them and wait for employers to hire you. It might take a while but once you get a job and complete it, you can withdraw money onto your card
  5. Salam. I have fiverr card. Can i use it for purchasing from ebay?
Can i load money in it from other source other than fiver?
What will be a fee if i withdrawal 34$?

    1. Salam. This depends on the particular seller on eBay. Some only accept Paypal while others accept MasterCard as well. If they accept MasterCard, you can use your Fiverr card on eBay.

Yes, you can load from most Payoneer partners as well as load your card privately (but this is limited on Fiverr cards - unlimited if you order your card from this site). Private load from any visa / mastercard debit/credit card can be done here - load.payoneer.com

Send me a screenshot of your fee schedule from your account and I will tell you how much fee you will get charged. It varies depending on where you ordered your card from.
  6. Hello Abbas,
    Very informative and helpful.

If I am correct, for 10,000PKR transaction from say SCB with present Dollar Exchange rate (101.78), my payoneer will show a transaction of around 107.39$?

    10,000PKR is = 98.25$.
    Transaction fee = 3.15$.
    3% Exc. fee = 3.05$.
    SCB Fee = 2.95$.

    Adding all is 107.39$.

Kindly tell for online shopping or card swap at any shop there is no Bank fee or anything else other than 3% exchange fee and 3.15$ transaction fee?

25$ bonus I heard gets adjusted in card issuing fee, it is not usable? correct me if I am wrong

    Regards
    Owais

    1. Hello Owais, I am glad you found it helpful.

If you withdraw 10,000 PKR, that is right, you will be charged APPROXIMATELY $107.39. But the Exchange Rate mastercard offers is slightly different from that on Google so it might change slightly.

There is no transaction fee on online shopping or card swap either. The only fee is the 3% exchange fee.

If you order the card from this site, you will get charged an annual fee that is around $25. If you for example load $100 onto your card, your first year fee will kind of be subsidized and your account will get $100 - $29.95 (annual fee) + $25 bonus = around $95.

If i am unclear please let me know and i will try to rewrite this better
    2. Thanks Abbas, yes you are very clear. I already have the card which I had ordered form some other website.

Glad to hear that I don't have to pay anything else then the 3% exchange rate on card swap/online shopping.

hope our conversation proves helpful for other learners as well.

Thanks once again & keep up the good work!!
    3. No problem at all! Yes, it is best to use it directly instead of withdrawing through ATMs.

BTW, fees vary dependign on where you ordered the card from. You can find your card's fee schedule on your account page once you login here myaccount.payoneer.com

Good luck and thank you :)
    4. Hello Abbas,
While online shopping or at petrol pumps/ restaurants, I think in addition to 3% fee, 3.15$ transaction will also apply. My card fee structure is same as yours, it says "ATM withdrawals or Cash Disbursement(via bank teller or in-store) fee per transaction is 3.15$
    5. Hi, oh yes you are right. I guess they must have changed this recently since before there was only a charge for ATM withdrawal.
    6. Hello. Recently i went to MCB bank and the amount i could withdraw from my card was only 10,000 where as before i used to withdraw 20,000 multiple times. I guess they have put a limit on daily transactions. Can i withdraw 20,000 from standard chartered bank multiple times in a day or not?
    7. Apart from Mcb and standered chartered do faysal bank also support payonner in pakistan?
    8. Some MCB ATMs have a limit of Rs. 10,000 but most still have Rs. 20,000. I used my card at an MCB ATM a few days ago and was able to withdraw Rs. 18,000.

You can also withdraw upto Rs. 20,000 from both Standard Chartered and Samba Bank. You can also use Faysal Bank (but only ATMs that were previously belonging to Royal Bank of Scotland before Faysal Bank took it over)
  7. can u receive payment on my payoneer card from any freelance website?

    1. There are thousands of freelancing websites so I can't really answer your question. Many of the major freelancing sites out there do send payments through Payoneer, but you will need to check with the specific website you are using.
  8. Today I tried to withdraw from MCB first time. I have 213$. First I try to withdraw 20K as I thought it will be withdrawn based on my calculation. But ATM says I am exceeding withdrawal limit, then I tried 15K but still same error, Then I try for 5K and it works fine, then I again try for more 5K and its again successfully, then I tried third time for 5K but again it said exceeding limit.
I checked the status on my account I have been charged for two transaction rs 56$ +56$
    My remaing balance is 101$.
So question here is this limit is initiated by Payneer or MCB ATM?
Does each ATM (same bank or different) have same limits or different?

    1. Hey, no, that's definitely a problem with the ATM and not Payoneer itself. Which bank did you use? Some branches of some banks have incorrect balance settings and so they do not let you withdraw so much. I have never come across a bank that only lets you withdraw 5k at once. There are some MCB ATMs that let me withdraw only 10k but most allow for 20k. Try Rs. 9500 at a different ATM (preferably Samba Bank). Let me know how it turns out
    2. I used Muslim Commercial Bank MCB ATM. It allowed 10K in total. Bank cut 200Rs on each transaction. I think Samba Bank is not in my city. I will try Faisal Bank or SCB next time.
Also do you think If I go to another MCB Bank branch today then I will again able to withdraw more? OR now I have to wait for 24 hours to cross daily limits.
    3. That is quite strange since I always thought the limit was PER TRANSACTION and not PER DAY. As far as I understand it, you should be able to withdraw more from another ATM. Yes please use SCB it will charge Rs. 300 but I think all their ATMs will allow Rs. 20,000 per transaction and multiple transactions per day upto card limit (mine is $5000).
